VP - Data Analytics

About the role

An experienced VP Data Analytics is sought to lead data analytics and transformation across Regulatory Reporting, Finance, Compliance and Risk in the banking and financial services sector. The role drives regulatory reporting automation, ensures compliance with Central Bank requirements and sets up governance and technology frameworks across CIBG and IBG regions. It works with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure and compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regulatory reporting automation across CIBG and IBG regions, ensuring compliance with Central Bank regulations and circulars
• Develop reporting strategies, governance frameworks and SLAs, and assess new regulatory circulars for business impact
• Oversee the architecture, design, implementation and optimisation of regulatory reporting tools and platforms
• Manage vendor selection, implementation and performance
• Establish and oversee Run the Bank (RTB) and Change Management teams
• Lead the end-to-end regulatory reporting automation roadmap and set data quality, metadata, data lineage and audit-readiness frameworks
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Wholesale Banking and International Banking on data-driven solutions
• Lead teams of data engineers, BI developers, data scientists and AI/ML specialists, and promote GenAI adoption including LLM-powered assistants and prompt engineering
• Take part in Regulatory Reporting Centre of Excellence activities, manage budgets and forecasts, and identify risks around data privacy, security, compliance and responsible AI

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 15-18+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, financial data analytics or data transformation in banking and financial services
• Proven experience in regulatory technology automation, reporting platform implementation and vendor management
• Experience leading large cross-functional RTB and Change Management teams
• Certifications in AI/ML, cloud platforms or analytics tools are an advantage

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of data governance, regulatory data lineage, data quality and audit-readiness
• Familiarity with modern data platforms, AI/ML, GenAI and enterprise technology integration
