Waiter / Waitress - Hotel F&B

About the role

Accor is looking for a dynamic and talented Waiter/Waitress to join its Novotel and Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate hotels in the UAE. The role covers food and beverage service, function room set-up and cash handling, and is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard food and beverage service in line with departmental standards and procedures.
• Set up and unset function rooms, including table setting, according to established standards.
• Perform cashiering and beverage dispensing as assigned by Banquet Management.
• Attend to guest needs, complaints and on-site requests in a courteous and helpful way.
• Gather and transport supplies needed for function set-up and carry out side duties.
• Keep service and storage areas safe, clean and locked, and report deviations, complaints and incidents to management.
• Maintain operating equipment and help implement work simplification and necessary changes.
• Communicate guest comments and other relevant information to the supervisor and assist other outlets during peak times.
• Follow hotel and department policies and procedures, and carry out other duties assigned by hotel management.

Required profile

• Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Well presented and professionally groomed at all times.
• Guest-oriented, service-minded, with attention to quality and detail.
• Good communication, customer contact and problem-resolution skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; an additional language is an added advantage.
• Experience is an asset; prior experience with related systems is also valued.
