Waiter/Waitress – Hotel Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a professional and customer‑focused Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic hospitality team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. You will play a key part in delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing prompt, courteous service while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, seat them, present menus and take drink orders promptly.
• Present menu items with knowledge and enthusiasm, offering recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary requirements.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicate special requests to kitchen and bar teams.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and address concerns with professionalism.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service station, tables and service areas.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions with integrity.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar and housekeeping staff to ensure seamless operations.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health regulations.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; hospitality or food‑service training preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse guests.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Multilingual abilities (Arabic and English preferred) are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with local regulations.
