Waiter/Waitress - Thai Cuisine (Thai Speaker Preferred)

About the role

Park Hyatt Dubai is hiring a Waiter/Waitress for its specialty Thai restaurant. The role delivers exceptional dining experiences through attentive, personalized and knowledgeable service, with a strong understanding of Thai cuisine, ingredients, flavours and dining traditions, in a luxury hotel setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional and personalized service throughout the guest's visit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Thai menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, spice levels, flavour profiles and recommended accompaniments.
• Guide guests through menu choices and make recommendations based on preferences, dietary requirements and occasion.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate guest requirements to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Explain specialty dishes, regional Thai delicacies and signature items, and coordinate with culinary and bar teams for accurate preparation and prompt delivery.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipate needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Serve food and beverages to presentation, quality and luxury hospitality standards, and handle complaints, special requests and allergy-related inquiries, escalating when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of promotions, specialty events and beverage offerings.
• Prepare and maintain mise en place, including table settings, side stations, equipment and service areas.
• Process guest checks, handle cash and electronic payments responsibly, and support inventory control by reporting shortages to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, grooming and workplace safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Hospitality, Hotel Management or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a specialty restaurant, upscale dining venue or luxury hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of Thai cuisine, ingredients, cooking styles and dining traditions is highly desirable; Thai speaker preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with guests from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to handle guest requests and service challenges professionally and with attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and responsible service practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
