Wealth & Retail Banking Intern 2027

About the role

Standard Chartered offers a 10-week summer internship in its Wealth & Retail Banking programme for 2027. The bank serves more than 13 million individuals and small businesses, with a focus on the affluent segment (Private Banking, Priority Private, Priority Banking and Premium Banking) and emerging affluent clients in the mass retail sector. Interns work on real business challenges alongside colleagues across the bank's global network, with the programme supporting development through induction, exposure to products and clients, projects from day one, mentorship and community initiatives.

The internship is open to penultimate-year students who can intern in June 2027 and start full time in July 2028, and must hold the permanent legal right to work in the country of application. UAE candidates are only eligible for the UAE placement. Interns are placed in one of four teams: Affluent Banking, Wealth Solutions, Digital Banking or Bancassurance Performance and Analytics.

Required profile

• Penultimate-year student able to intern in June 2027 and start full time in July 2028
• Permanent legal right to work in the country of application
• Only one application per six-month period
• Openness to students from all degree disciplines
