Well Engineer – Integrated Service Projects

About the role

The Well Engineer – Integrated Service Projects will provide comprehensive well engineering design, screening, and technical support throughout pre‑tendering, tendering and project execution phases. The role demands deep knowledge of the full well lifecycle, risk‑based time estimates and the ability to leverage digital tools such as AI and Power BI for data analysis and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day operational support, ensuring wellsite teams understand the well programme and that daily drilling reports accurately reflect performance.
• Conduct detailed offset‑well studies, identify design standardisation opportunities, capture lessons learned and feed risk registers for tender bids.
• Perform full well design including casing, kick tolerance, hydraulics, directional planning and anti‑collision assessments using Landmark and other recognised software.
• Develop and maintain well programmes, Basis of Design documents and performance KPIs, ensuring compliance with Weatherford, client and host‑authority standards.
• Assess and promote technology implementation across the well lifecycle, utilising AI, Copilot, ChatGPT and Power BI to analyse and present data.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of design and operations experience covering drilling, completions, workovers, production, abandonment and project management.
• Hands‑on wellsite experience as a wellsite engineer or night‑drilling supervisor is advantageous.
• Proven ability to work with operators and integrated projects in both onshore and offshore environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NORSOK D‑010 and other global P&A design standards.
• Experience using Landmark design applications and other well‑design software.
• Competence in AI‑driven tools, Power BI, Copilot and ChatGPT for data analysis and reporting.
