About the role

GEMS International School – Dubai Hills is seeking an experienced Whole School Arabic A Coordinator to lead the Arabic A curriculum across Primary and Secondary phases. The role ensures high‑quality teaching, curriculum continuity and alignment with KHDA, UAE Ministry of Education and IB standards, supporting the school’s vision of fostering confident, compassionate global citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, delivery and review of the Arabic A curriculum school‑wide.
• Mentor and support Arabic A teachers to enhance instructional quality.
• Monitor student achievement and use assessment data to drive improvement.
• Ensure compliance with KHDA, UAE Ministry of Education and IB curriculum requirements.
• Lead curriculum planning, moderation and standardisation activities.
• Promote Arabic language, UAE culture and national identity through school‑wide initiatives.
• Collaborate with school leaders on whole‑school improvement priorities.
• Facilitate effective communication between Primary and Secondary Arabic A teams.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with relevant teaching qualifications.
• Proven experience teaching Arabic A in an international school setting.
• Strong understanding of KHDA, UAE Ministry of Education and IB curriculum requirements.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
