Wire Cut Machine Operator with AutoCAD 2D

About the role

Metal Engineer is seeking an experienced Wire Cut Machine Operator to join its production team in Ras Al Khaimah. The successful candidate will operate and program Wire EDM (Wirecut) equipment while ensuring high‑quality output and strict dimensional accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Install, set up, and run Wire EDM (Wirecut) machines according to job specifications.
• Edit and program machine parameters based on engineering drawings and material specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, process documents, and technical drawings to select appropriate cutting parameters.
• Verify part dimensions using dial indicators, height gauges, micrometers and vernier calipers.
• Monitor machining processes, adjust parameters to meet finish and tolerance requirements.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to resolve larger equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure finished components meet quality standards before inspection.
• Optimize material usage and improve machining efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating Wire EDM (Wirecut) machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining dimensional accuracy.
• Capability to work independently while adhering to production schedules.
