Wireline Field Engineer – Logging Services

About the role

The Wireline Field Engineer will lead logging services for ADNOC Drilling across on‑shore and off‑shore rigs in the UAE, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality open‑hole and cased‑hole operations while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Execute wireline jobs for assigned rigs, acting as crew lead engineer.
• Plan, prepare and troubleshoot jobs, including pre‑ and post‑job reporting.
• Coordinate with customers, rig crews and service delivery coordinators to align with drilling schedules.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and operators.
• Manage radioactive sources and explosives in line with HSE and regulatory protocols.
• Maintain accurate records, conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Lead incident reporting, HSE audits and investigations related to wireline activities.
• Oversee the full wireline job cycle (MTJC) from planning to close‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in wireline operations in Abu Dhabi, including open‑hole logging, cased‑hole services, perforation, plug setting and production logging.
• Hands‑on experience with Baker Hughes wireline equipment and tools.
• Ability to resolve moderately complex wellsite issues using engineering, mechanical and geological principles.
