YouTube Growth & Optimization Manager

About the role

The Next Chapter is looking for an experienced YouTube Growth & Optimization Manager to oversee the growth, performance and discoverability of two established podcast channels: No2ta 3al Sater and UNPLUGGEDUAE. The channels cover society, business, relationships, health and contemporary issues, and content is already being produced and published. The role suits candidates based in Dubai, with remote candidates also considered.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize titles, descriptions, keywords and metadata to improve search visibility (YouTube SEO)
• Develop and A/B test thumbnails and titles to raise click-through rates
• Analyze viewer behavior, find drop-off points and recommend ways to increase average view duration
• Build and run organic growth strategies to grow views, subscribers, watch time and returning viewers
• Use YouTube Studio to interpret performance data and make evidence-based recommendations
• Develop strategies to maximize the reach of short-form clips
• Monitor competitor channels, emerging trends and audience interests
• Advise on publishing schedules, episode packaging and content positioning
• Provide weekly insights and monthly growth reports with measurable KPIs

Required profile

• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience growing YouTube channels
• Demonstrable success with long-form YouTube content, preferably podcasts or interview-based channels
• Strong understanding of the YouTube recommendation system, search discovery, CTR, audience retention and watch time
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to turn data into actionable growth strategies
• A proactive, independent professional who takes ownership of results
• Understanding of Arabic and English-speaking audiences and the MENA digital landscape is highly desirable
