About the role

The Academic Appointments Partner supports the end‑to‑end academic appointment lifecycle at MBZUAI. Reporting to the Head of Academic Appointments, the role ensures accurate, timely, and professional execution of recruitment, contract preparation, and reappointment activities for faculty and researchers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the full academic appointment process, including recruitment support, documentation, and contract preparation.
• Coordinate interview scheduling, communications, and logistics for candidates and search committees.
• Serve as the primary liaison for candidates, providing updates and maintaining a positive experience throughout the cycle.
• Provide operational guidance to Deans, Department Chairs, and academic leaders on appointment procedures.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, Research, and other offices to manage contracts, onboarding, visa processing, relocation, and benefits.
• Maintain confidential records in applicant tracking and appointment systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to appointment workflows and systems.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in academic appointment processes or related higher‑education HR functions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and clarity.
