Accountant – Construction & Façade Industry

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a leading glass, aluminium and façade contracting firm in Dubai. The role focuses on managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and handling UAE VAT compliance within the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain accurate books, ledgers, and financial statements.
• Process invoices, receipts, vouchers and payment documents.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and statements for management.
• Manage VAT accounting, filing and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in construction, contracting or engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Current residence in the UAE is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
