Accountant Cum Audit Assistant

About the role

Goodhope Accounting Services LLC is seeking an Accountant Cum Audit Assistant to handle full‑cycle accounting for a diverse client portfolio in Dubai. The role combines day‑to‑day bookkeeping with support for audit and tax compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers and prepare complete financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with IFRS.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations for banks, vendors, customers and inter‑company accounts.
• Calculate, compute and file UAE VAT returns and assist with corporate tax documentation.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing trial balances and required documentation.
• Generate routine financial reports, operational insights and assist with payroll processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• CA Intermediate qualification with at least 2 years of completed articleship experience.
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software: Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good understanding of IFRS, UAE VAT regulations and basic corporate tax framework.
