Accountant – Dubai, UAE

About the role

SORP Group is seeking an Accountant to manage the accounting of its UAE‑registered companies. The role ensures accurate settlement recording, financial discipline, and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Account for companies registered in the UAE, processing invoices, bills, contracts and bank statements.
• Record banking transactions, perform reconciliations and ensure timely month‑end closing.
• Prepare and control Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Handle payroll components including salaries, vacation pay and End of Service Benefits (EOSB).
• Participate in the preparation of monthly financial reports and audit data.
• Assist in preparing VAT returns and corporate tax calculations in line with FTA requirements.
• Monitor accounting accuracy according to IFRS and UAE legal standards.
• Interact with counterparties on accounting and document management issues.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant, including at least 1 year managing UAE companies.
• Knowledge of IFRS and UAE legislation on VAT, corporate tax and basic labor law.
• Experience liaising with the FTA and UAE auditors.
• Professional level English and strong attention to detail.
