Accountant – ERP & VAT Specialist

About the role

Oldtimer Middle East is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its fast‑paced, entrepreneurial team in the UAE. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support business decisions through insightful reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and proper documentation.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing processes.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare financial reports and provide analytical support to management.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations in a multi‑entity environment.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with ERP systems (mandatory).
• Experience with ERPNext is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT and related compliance requirements.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
