Accountant – Group Accounts Payable Services (Emiratisation)

About the role

Emirates is seeking an Accountant for its Group Accounts Payable Services, focusing on Emiratisation. The role supports the financial shared services hub in Dubai, ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices, month‑end closing and compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse high‑risk accounts payable processes, performing quality checks and maintaining preventive and detective controls.
• Resolve disputes, queries and discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Identify improvement opportunities, participate in system‑enhancement projects and test new functionalities.
• Monitor system interfaces and data integrity, supporting month‑end reviews and minimizing adjustments.
• Provide data‑analytics support for MIS, KPI reporting and revenue protection activities.
• Oversee staff workflow to ensure accurate invoice processing, validate expenditures and accruals.
• Reconcile supplier statements and relevant accounts, follow up on outstanding items and ensure compliance with policy.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting or finance qualification.
• Experience in accounts payable or shared services environment.
• Understanding of financial policies, month‑end closing and control frameworks.
