Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, process accounting transactions and support the organisation’s financial operations while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Prepare and post journal entries with proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, customer accounts and general ledger balances.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Process employee expense claims and verify supporting documents.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Monitor cash flow and produce cash‑position reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation.
• Ensure adherence to company financial policies, accounting standards and internal controls.
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA) is a plus.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and IFRS.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally or Odoo.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
