Accountant

About the role

Magna Financial is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Finance team in Business Bay, Dubai. You will support both the core financial operations of Magna Financial and its affiliated Family Office, gaining exposure to multi‑entity, multi‑currency accounting in a fast‑moving financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank transactions.
• Prepare reconciliations, journal entries and assist with month‑end reporting.
• Support the preparation of management accounts, cash‑flow statements and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, assist with audits and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process expense claims, supplier payments and maintain fixed‑asset registers.
• Provide accounting support across Magna Financial and the Group’s Family Office.
• Collaborate with the wider Finance team to improve processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years of accounting experience within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and UAE VAT requirements.
• Professional, reliable and able to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across the business.
