Accountant – Shared Services

About the role

The Accountant will lead the development and enhancement of JD.com’s group accounting policies, systems and procedures within the shared services centre in Dubai. You will ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and accounting standards while supporting cross‑departmental communication.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and improve accounting policies, systems and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Oversee policy implementation, analyse issues and resolve them promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to communicate and apply accounting policies.
• Understand accounting processes of various Business Groups, establish and run a quality‑monitoring system for the shared service centre.
• Consolidate operational data, develop metrics and create visual dashboards.
• Promote process standardisation, productisation and tool optimisation (policy library, SOPs, process lists).
• Act as Project Manager for process‑improvement, risk‑management or user‑experience projects.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the head of the centre.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification.
• Experience in a financial shared‑service centre or BPO environment.
• Strong project‑management experience and ability to coordinate cross‑functional resources.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks and summarise information effectively.
• High integrity, proactive attitude, strong sense of responsibility and capacity to work under pressure.
• Professional ethics with strict confidentiality of financial information.
