Accountant – UAE (5-10 years experience)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to lead our day‑to‑day financial operations in Sharjah. The successful candidate will manage the full accounting cycle, ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, and support strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, trial balance and cash‑flow reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, expense control and financial planning.
• Handle VAT return preparation, VAT reconciliation and corporate tax documentation.
• Process payroll, salary records and employee advances.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax consultants and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 5–10 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices, VAT and corporate tax requirements.
• High level of accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
