Accounts Assistant

About the role

The Accounts Assistant will provide cashier and accounting support to Al-Futtaim's automotive workshop, reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner. The role focuses on cash handling, invoicing, and accounts receivable management.

Key responsibilities

• Collect cash and credit‑card payments against cash invoices.
• Maintain and balance the daily collection and petty cash fund twice a day.
• Monitor insurance limits for cash/collection in the vault and ensure coverage when limits are exceeded.
• Hand over collected revenue to Trans‑guard on the following day.
• Upload daily collection reports to the shared drive provided by FSSC/AFSS.
• Ensure all collection and petty cash fund verifications are signed and filed for future reference.
• Monitor cheque clearance, bounced cheques and refund cheques.
• Enter data accurately in SAP, keeping billing cancellations and advance payments to a minimum.
• Post sublet and bought‑out charges to job cards for customer billing.
• Prepare, verify and submit invoices for cash, credit and intra‑work orders.
• Issue gate passes for vehicle release and submit invoices to customers.
• Follow SOPs and sign‑authority levels for all business processes.
• Manage petty‑cash expenses with appropriate approvals and maintain liquidity.
• Monitor branch AR reports daily/weekly/monthly and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Maintain a list of credit facilities, limits, periods and contact details.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks and support business finance as required.
• Maintain proper invoice filing with complete documentation for easy retrieval.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in cash handling, invoicing or accounts receivable.
