AML Focal Point (UAE National)

About the role

The AML Focal Point will work closely with the AML Officer and multiple internal departments to ensure strict adherence to AML‑CFT policies, procedures and controls. The role supports the Sales operations team in identifying and reporting suspicious transactions while maintaining compliance with UAE regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer transactions to detect suspicious activity.
• Conduct customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence, verifying information, documentation, activity types and risk profiles.
• Prepare AML status reports and submit them to relevant regulatory authorities in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records and trackers for money‑laundering and suspicious transaction activities, providing supporting documentation for management review.
• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT policies, applicable laws and regulations.
• Follow defined compliance processes for due diligence, whistleblowing and cooperate with corrective actions and investigations.
• Monitor UAE supervisory authority guidelines (Ministry of Economy, FIU, etc.) and integrate updates into organisational processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
• 1‑3 years of finance/accounting experience in real‑estate, with knowledge of RERA and escrow accounts.
• Up‑to‑date on AML regulatory changes in the UAE.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of an ERP system.
