Applications Functional Specialist

About the role

The Applications Functional Specialist will provide day‑to‑day operational support for Oracle ERP modules used across Dubai Petroleum Establishment. The role focuses on ensuring optimal use of inventory, warehouse, procurement, asset and human‑resource applications while driving continuous improvement and change management.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver functional support for Oracle Inventory, Warehouse Management, Purchasing, Advanced Procurement, Enterprise Asset Management and HR modules.
• Assist in solution reviews, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementation of bug‑fixes and enhancements.
• Manage user accounts, security authorisations and related documentation.
• Conduct workshops, analyse business processes and recommend functional enhancements.
• Coordinate with external consultants, support vendors and internal IT teams to resolve issues and implement changes.
• Monitor application usage, identify improvement opportunities and oversee small‑to‑medium IT projects from requirements gathering to execution.

Required profile

• Strong experience supporting Oracle ERP functional modules, particularly in inventory, procurement and asset management.
• Good understanding of ITIL change, incident and problem management processes.
• Proven ability to lead workshops, gather requirements and manage cross‑functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with business users and technical teams.
