Applied Aero Dynamics Engineer

About the role

AL TARIQ is seeking an Applied Aerodynamics Engineer to join its ADASI division in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on delivering high‑fidelity aerodynamic analyses for aircraft, missiles, unmanned vehicles and major aerodynamic components across subsonic to hypersonic regimes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead aerodynamic work packages from concept through detailed design.
• Perform CFD simulations, mesh generation, convergence studies and turbulence modeling.
• Develop and maintain aerodynamic databases and reduced‑order models.
• Coordinate wind‑tunnel testing, data correlation and flight‑test validation.
• Prepare technical reports, test plans and substantiation evidence for multidisciplinary design reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• Master’s or PhD in Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, CFD or Aircraft Design preferred.
• 10+ years of aerospace or applied fluid‑dynamics experience.
• Proven experience with full‑aircraft, missile or UAV aerodynamic design.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Advanced CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR‑CCM+, OpenFOAM).
• Geometry and meshing software, post‑processing and automation scripting.
• Lower‑order aerodynamic methods and empirical models.
• Wind‑tunnel test planning and data interpretation.
• CAD and geometry‑management workflows.
• MATLAB, Python, C/C++ programming.
• Optimization frameworks and workflow automation.
