Arabic & Islamic Studies Teacher (MOE)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Arabic and Islamic Studies teacher to deliver the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum in a dynamic, student‑centred environment. The successful candidate will teach both native and non‑native learners, fostering academic excellence and cultural awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with MOE and GEMS standards, incorporating 21st‑century learning skills.
• Differentiate instruction for mixed‑ability classes, supporting SEN, EAL and varying proficiency levels.
• Design and administer formative and summative assessments, analysing data to inform instruction and meet inspection requirements.
• Maintain a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere using consistent behaviour management strategies.
• Integrate digital tools such as LMS platforms and smartboards to enhance learning experiences.
• Promote UAE national identity, Islamic values and cultural heritage while ensuring sensitivity in content delivery.
• Prepare accurate documentation for MOE inspections and contribute to school readiness.
• Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators and leadership; engage parents in both Arabic and English.

Required profile

• Fluent in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong knowledge of MOE curriculum for Arabic A/B and Islamic Studies A/B.
• Experience teaching native and non‑native Arabic speakers.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience using smartboards and other digital teaching tools.
