Arabic Trainer – Preparatory Program

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is looking for an experienced Arabic Trainer to deliver preparatory Arabic courses. The role supports students in building the language foundation required for success in undergraduate studies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Arabic preparatory courses focusing on reading, writing, grammar and academic communication.
• Design lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments and examinations aligned with university standards.
• Provide tutoring, academic guidance and feedback to improve student performance and retention.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records and produce regular progress reports.
• Collaborate with other preparatory trainers to ensure curriculum alignment and consistency.
• Review and enhance the Arabic preparatory curriculum and learning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, Education, Linguistics or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in Arabic at university, foundation or preparatory level.
• Strong knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic, grammar, reading and writing.
• Ability to teach diverse student groups and manage classroom dynamics.
