ARAMCO Approved RTFI Inspector

About the role

SGS is seeking an ARAMCO‑approved RTFI Inspector to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role involves performing radiographic testing on welds and materials for oil‑and‑gas projects, ensuring compliance with international codes and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret radiographic films (RT) to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion according to ASME, AWS, API standards.
• Review and validate all RT reports before final sign‑off, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare detailed RT assessment sheets, film packages and submit reports to clients or regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate repair actions with data operators and QC supervisors based on interpretation results.
• Ensure all inspection activities meet safety standards and project statutory requirements.
• Liaise with NDT coordinators, QC supervisors and third‑party agencies to schedule inspections and share results.
• Verify material test reports and confirm that incoming materials meet project specifications.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Mandatory ARAMCO approval for RTFI.
• Certification: ASNT ACCP Level III or CSWIP/PCN Level II in RTFI.
• Minimum five years of post‑certification experience in the oil & gas industry.

Required skills
