Architecture Inspector

About the role

As an Architecture Inspector based in Sharjah, you will join the Construction Supervision Department and report to the Resident Engineer and Section Engineers. You will carry out on‑site inspections of road and traffic construction projects to verify that all works comply with approved plans, specifications, codes and government land boundaries.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect structures during and after construction for quality, safety and conformance to specifications and codes.
• Monitor material usage, construction techniques and installation of plumbing, wiring, equipment and appliances for regulatory compliance.
• Measure dimensions, level, alignment and elevation of structures against building plans.
• Maintain daily inspection logs, photographs and detailed records.
• Verify that delivered construction materials meet ministerial requirements and are stored correctly.
• Coordinate with the construction team to obtain accurate survey control points and ensure adherence to shop drawings and snag lists.
• Attend off‑site or overseas inspections for material samples, mock‑ups and testing as required.
• Perform any additional duties reasonably required by the role.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience in construction/architectural inspection, quality control or site supervision.
• Working knowledge of architectural and construction codes, standards and material specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and coordination.

Required skills
