Assembly Technician – Composites Production

About the role

The Assembly Technician will support composite manufacturing operations in Abu Dhabi, performing lay‑up, lamination and vacuum infusion tasks based on engineering drawings. The role involves hands‑on work with both prepreg and wet‑lamination processes to build high‑quality composite assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute composite lamination duties for prepreg, lay‑up, wet lamination and vacuum infusion according to engineering specifications.
• Perform trimming, sanding, filling and fairing using power tools and hand measurements.
• Operate hand tools and workshop machines safely and efficiently.
• Conduct bonding, test fitting, adjustment and troubleshooting of complex composite assemblies during prototyping.
• Maintain tools, workstations and adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Set up, operate, clean and maintain equipment following SOPs.
• Document assembly processes, inspection records and provide feedback reports.
• Assist in integrating and testing composite assemblies with electrical or hydraulic components when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a technician in composites production.
• Experience in the UAE or Middle East is desirable.
