Assembly Technician

About the role

EPI is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join its aerospace manufacturing team in Abu Dhabi. You will work on Class 1 aerostructures, interpreting technical drawings and assembling complex sheet‑metal components to exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret diagrams, schematics and blueprints to guide assembly operations.
• Locate, prepare and align parts and tooling, selecting appropriate drill bits, reamers and countersink tools.
• Perform drilling, reaming, countersinking, sealing, fastening and application of special finishes using proper PPE.
• Inspect each operation for defects, ensure cleanliness and readiness for final inspection.
• Install bushings, bearings, fluid/hydraulic fittings and perform press‑fitting using liquid nitrogen or dry‑ice methods.
• Carry out electrical bonding tasks as part of the assembly process.
• Maintain and repair pneumatic assembly tools and jigs.

Required profile

• Trade certification, mechanical diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years aerospace sheet‑metal assembly experience.
• Proven experience with major aerospace OEMs and Class 1 aerostructures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adhering to quality standards.
