Assistant Director – Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

About the role

Join the world‑leading luxury hotel group FIVE Hotels and Resorts as an Assistant Director – Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps. You will lead the design, deployment and operation of high‑traffic, consumer‑facing applications across cloud and on‑premises environments, ensuring reliable, scalable technology that supports exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy and manage AWS cloud infrastructure and high‑scale applications.
• Own and optimise networking across cloud and on‑premises environments, including firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, DNS, load balancing and Wi‑Fi.
• Monitor performance, uptime and security, proactively resolving issues before they impact operations.
• Drive automation and DevOps best practices using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Manage core IT infrastructure, servers and enterprise hardware both in the cloud and on‑site.
• Collaborate with software engineers, internal stakeholders and technology vendors to scale modern technology platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience deploying and supporting high‑traffic, consumer‑facing applications.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of networking, systems architecture and enterprise infrastructure.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a “can‑do” attitude and ownership mindset.
