Assistant Faculty – Finance (PhD)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Faculty member in Finance to join our academic team in Ras Al Khaimah. The role involves delivering finance and accounting courses, guiding student research, and contributing to the university’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars and workshops using student‑centred, outcomes‑based teaching methods.
• Develop lesson plans, learning materials and assessments aligned with module and programme outcomes.
• Assess and moderate student work, provide timely feedback and uphold academic integrity.
• Support student progression through academic guidance, consultations and early intervention.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research, capstone and dissertation projects.
• Conduct and publish research, pursue grants and build academic‑industry collaborations.
• Participate in faculty development, curriculum enhancement, quality assurance and other academic duties.

Required profile

• PhD or DBA in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 2–3 years of higher‑education teaching experience, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong expertise in Accounting and Finance with experience using LMS platforms such as Canvas.
• Excellent English communication, academic, research and assessment skills.
• Professional qualifications (CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, CFA) and teaching qualifications (FHEA/PGCert HE) are desirable.
• UAE MOE equivalency/attestation required for international qualifications.
