Assistant Fashion Designer

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Assistant Fashion Designer to join our Dubai studio. You will support lead designers in creating contemporary collections, from sketching concepts to preparing technical drawings and assisting with fabric and trim selection.

Key responsibilities

• Sketch and develop design concepts under the guidance of senior designers.
• Create technical drawings and specification sheets.
• Assist in selecting fabrics, trims, and embroidery details.
• Coordinate fittings, document alterations and ensure sample quality.
• Communicate with pattern makers, sample rooms and maintain organized style records.
• Contribute to trend research and prepare materials for presentations, lookbooks and client meetings.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design or a related field (preferred).
• Previous internship or assistant‑level experience in a fashion studio or brand.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management and organizational skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent English communication; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Fashion sketching and concept development.
• Knowledge of garment construction and fitting.
• Understanding of textiles, fabric properties and embroidery techniques.
• Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (or similar).
