Assistant General Counsel – Airport Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced commercial lawyer to join Group Legal as an Assistant General Counsel for dnata Airport Operations. The role provides strategic legal support across the global airport operations network, handling corporate, M&A, joint‑venture and commercial contract matters.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary legal adviser for dnata Airport Operations, delivering end‑to‑end support on commercial contracts and Group‑wide M&A and joint‑venture transactions.
• Lead negotiation, drafting, review and execution of complex service, supplier, outsourcing, operational and strategic agreements related to airport operations.
• Provide legal guidance on RFPs, tenders and bid processes, including government and public‑sector opportunities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage M&A and JV transactions, including due diligence, structuring, drafting and negotiating share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements and related documentation.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for corporate, M&A, JV and commercial work, offering guidance to internal clients and ensuring alignment with the Group’s strategic objectives.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel, and support investigations, litigation or regulatory matters when required.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with substantial experience in commercial, corporate and M&A matters, preferably within the aviation or transportation sector.
• Proven ability to operate in a fast‑paced, multinational environment and to provide commercially focused legal advice.
• Strong judgment, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the capacity to manage complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

Required skills
