Assistant Guest Relations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a polished and proactive Assistant Guest Relations Manager to support the guest experience at Tapasake, a Japanese‑led Mediterranean dining concept located at One Za’abeel. The role spans the restaurant, infinity pool and Sky Lounge, ensuring VIP guests receive seamless service from reservation to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Guest Relations Manager with reservations, table and cabana allocations across all venue areas.
• Build and maintain relationships with VIP guests, regulars and key contacts to encourage repeat visits.
• Greet and personally host VIP arrivals, coordinating hand‑over to service teams.
• Maintain and expand the guest database/CRM, tracking preferences, spend history and special occasions.
• Collaborate with promoters, hosts and marketing on guest‑list management for major events.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues promptly and diplomatically.
• Work with floor, bar and kitchen managers to align VIP flow with service capacity.
• Support recruitment, training and coaching of the Guest Relations/Host team.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in Guest Relations, VIP hosting or a similar guest‑facing role within luxury restaurants, beach/pool clubs or 5‑star hospitality.
• Strong network within Dubai’s hospitality/nightlife scene (preferred).
• Discreet, polished manner with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with reservation and CRM systems.
• Ability to solve problems under pressure during high‑volume periods.
• Fluent English; Arabic, French, Russian or Japanese a strong advantage.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
