Assistant HR Manager - Emiratization

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant HR Manager to drive our Emiratization strategy and support workforce localization within a fast‑moving retail environment. The role will work closely with business leaders, government bodies and educational partners to attract, develop and retain UAE national talent while ensuring full compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with line managers to provide HR guidance on workforce planning, performance management and employee relations.
• Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to improve retention and foster an inclusive culture.
• Coordinate learning, training, internship and graduate programmes specifically for UAE nationals and monitor career progression.
• Liaise with government authorities to ensure compliance with Emiratization regulations and keep stakeholders updated on policy changes.
• Maintain accurate employee records, prepare regular reports and dashboards on Emiratization performance, and support continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of HR experience, including at least 2–3 years focused on Emiratization, talent acquisition or HR business partnering.
• Previous experience in the retail sector is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE labour laws and Emiratization programmes.
