Assistant Lounges Manager

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking an Assistant Lounges Manager to support the Lounges Manager in delivering exceptional service across its upscale lounge venues. You will help oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with standards, and step in to lead the team when required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Lounges Manager in daily lounge operations, maintaining service excellence and compliance with company policies.
• Lead and supervise lounge teams during shifts, handling scheduling, attendance, grooming standards and performance management.
• Drive guest experience by managing reservations, VIP requirements, handling complaints and creating memorable moments.
• Monitor service quality, food and beverage standards, POS accuracy, menu management, cleanliness and coordinate with culinary, housekeeping and engineering.
• Oversee financial and administrative duties including P&L analysis, labour cost control and execution of promotions and events.

Required profile

• High School qualification; a Degree or HND in Hospitality, Hotel Management or Business Management is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant, including pre‑opening experience.
• International hospitality exposure across at least two regions, preferably including the Middle East.
• Strong guest service orientation and ability to motivate teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of HACCP and restaurant operational standards.
