Assistant Manager - Accounting and Finance (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Accounting and Finance will lead and manage medium‑size projects, delivering high‑quality financial reporting and advisory services to clients in Abu Dhabi. This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, client‑facing skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage small to medium‑size projects, including data analysis, report drafting and client meetings.
• Plan and deliver engagements, creating work plans, timelines and allocating resources.
• Act as an ambassador for the firm, liaising effectively with clients throughout engagements.
• Own deliverables with minimal supervision, producing reports, presentations and proposals.
• Identify risks and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to achieve client goals.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive learning culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CFA).
• Minimum 5 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in a Big‑Four audit or advisory team, with exposure to the MENA market.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and IPSAS accounting standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Oracle, SAP, Power BI, Visio, Blueworks and Aries.
