Assistant Manager – Internal Audit

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Internal Audit will support the Audit Manager in evaluating operational and financial processes across Al-Futtaim Group. The role focuses on ensuring internal controls are effective, assets are safeguarded, and audit findings are communicated clearly to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the annual audit plan by assessing risk levels.
• Create detailed audit programs in the Audit Management System (AMS) covering risks, controls, and test procedures.
• Execute internal audit assignments to assess control effectiveness and performance quality.
• Review approval processes for compliance with Group policies and delegation of authority.
• Document audit work and findings in AMS, preparing professional audit reports with analysis and recommendations.
• Communicate preliminary findings to relevant staff and update the Audit Manager promptly.
• Prepare executive summaries and monthly summaries for presentation to senior leadership.
• Utilise computer‑based audit tools such as ACL to enhance audit coverage.
• Maintain alignment with International Standards of Internal Audit and Group policies.
• Perform consulting assignments upon management request.

Required profile

• Experience in operational and financial auditing within a large, diversified organization.
• Ability to assess risk, develop audit programs, and document findings accurately.
• Strong communication skills for reporting to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ACL audit software.
• Experience using an Audit Management System (AMS).
