Assistant Manager - Internal Audit

About the role

As an Operational & Financial Auditor within the Al‑Futtaim Group, you will evaluate operational and financial processes to ensure effective internal controls and compliance with policies. You will develop detailed audit plans, conduct audits, report findings and recommend improvements to safeguard assets and support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Audit Manager in developing annual audit plans by assessing risk.
• Develop audit programs for each assignment, documenting risks, controls and tests in the Audit Management System (AMS).
• Conduct internal audit assignments to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and performance quality across business processes.
• Review approval processes to ensure compliance with Group policies and delegation of authorities.
• Prepare professional audit reports with findings, analysis and recommendations, and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Extend audit coverage using computer‑based techniques such as ACL.
• Perform consulting assignments and fraud investigations as requested by management.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA), MBA (Finance), CIA, CFA or similar professional certification.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the internal audit function.
• Thorough knowledge of internal controls and auditing standards.
• Proficiency in data analytics with spreadsheets and tools such as ACL, SAP and Oracle.
