Assistant Manager – Record to Report (R2R)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead end‑to‑end Record to Report (R2R) activities within our Finance Shared Services department. The role supports one of the region’s largest organisations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, month‑end and year‑end close, reconciliations, fixed assets and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with IFRS and company policies.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and resolve outstanding items.
• Support statutory and external audits by preparing schedules and liaising with auditors.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen controls, standardise processes and drive automation.
• Assist finance transformation initiatives and ERP enhancements.
• Guide junior team members and ensure delivery of team objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in Record to Report, preferably with a Big 4 audit background.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in a finance shared‑services or large corporate environment, ideally within real‑estate.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Oracle Fusion.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with record‑to‑report processes and month‑end close.
