Assistant Manager – Sales & Customer Service

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead sales initiatives and supervise customer service operations for our Waste Management Services division in Dubai. The role is centred on achieving sales targets, managing key accounts, and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and exceed departmental sales targets while maintaining acceptable profit margins.
• Manage key accounts, overseeing sales, customer service, and profitability.
• Assist in preparing business plans, tenders, and strategies for client presentations.
• Produce regular sales, meeting, and management reports.
• Follow ISO procedures and contribute to sales, quality, and environmental objectives.
• Ensure adherence to sales procedures and maintain accurate quotation records.
• Supervise daily activities and reporting of customer service coordinators.
• Assign queries, oversee the lead enquiry tool, and authorize quotations and job orders.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and upcoming regional projects.
• Coordinate credit facility formalities with major new clients.
• Drive business opportunities through marketing campaigns and lead generation.
• Collaborate with other departments for cross‑selling opportunities.
• Liaise with operations and QHSE on client complaints.
• Support finance with debt follow‑up for major clients.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, seminars, and networking events.

Required profile

• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and improve business performance.
• Experience in key account management and customer service supervision.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and compliance procedures.
• Good market awareness and ability to identify new business opportunities.
• Effective communication and coordination with cross‑functional teams.
