Assistant Manager – Security Operations & Incident Management

About the role

Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead its Security Operations Centre and drive incident management across the organisation. The role supports the CISO office, ensuring the resilience of the bank’s IT infrastructure and protecting critical data from cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily SOC activities, coordinating first‑line (1LoD) and second‑line (2LoD) security teams.
• Design and implement security monitoring, detection and alerting strategies.
• Manage the incident response plan, leading a 24/7 response team and handling out‑of‑hours escalations.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans and audits to identify and remediate risks.
• Analyse business, regulatory and reputational impact of incidents and advise senior management.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during investigations and post‑incident reviews.

Required profile

• UAE national with at least 10 years of experience in security operations or incident management.
• Proven ability to lead SOC teams and manage complex security incidents.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the banking sector.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to executives and regulators.
