Assistant Relationship Manager - CMB Assets

About the role

The Assistant Relationship Manager will support the Relationship Manager in overseeing a business banking portfolio, preparing credit proposals, and coordinating facility documentation. The role ensures portfolio quality, compliance, and smooth transaction processing while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare credit proposals, financial spreads and supporting credit analysis for review.
• Liaise with customers to obtain financial information, documentation and transaction requirements.
• Support structuring, documentation and utilization of credit facilities.
• Monitor account conduct, facility utilization, excesses, past‑due items, risk triggers, covenants and other credit conditions.
• Manage daily customer transactions, payments and settlements while supporting account profitability.
• Coordinate with internal departments to complete facility documentation, limit setup, drawdowns and trade‑related transactions.
• Maintain accurate, audit‑ready credit files and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process and review facility letters and security documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Handle discrepancies, resolve issues with relevant parties, and review application documents for completeness.
• Stay up‑to‑date on regulations and policies related to trade finance and cash management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years of SME or corporate credit analysis experience.
• Knowledge of banking products, credit processes and operations.
• Strong analytical, communication and customer relationship abilities.
