Assistant Relationship Manager – Private Banking

About the role

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports Relationship Managers and Group Heads in daily client administration, service delivery and project implementation within Julius Baer’s private banking division. The role acts as a professional liaison between clients, internal teams and external partners, ensuring high‑quality service and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive client administration support, including document handling, reporting, mailings and calendar management for RMs/GHs.
• Prepare and follow‑up on client meetings, business trips, presentations and investment proposals.
• Collect, document and exchange relevant information, support project implementation and propose process improvements.
• Assist in risk and compliance activities such as client documentation review, escalation of issues and adherence to local regulations.
• Manage expense claims and ensure timely clearance of pending items.

Required profile

• Team‑player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Highly service‑oriented, precise, diligent and able to perform under pressure.
• Relevant banking education or apprenticeship and experience serving complex banking clients.
• Good verbal and written language skills and solid understanding of private‑banking products and global financial markets.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems for client interaction documentation.
• Familiarity with DiAS or similar banking documentation tools.
