Assistant Resident Engineer - Landscape

About the role

Parsons is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer – Landscape to support senior staff on major infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. You will act as a key liaison between contractors, inspectors, and stakeholders, ensuring landscape works are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior staff on all landscape‑related matters and supervise inspectors.
• Attend weekly and monthly meetings focusing on landscape and HSSE issues.
• Coordinate handover of landscape assets and provide input for regular project reports.
• Review contractor documents promptly and flag potential delays.
• Deliver on‑site direction for landscaping, irrigation, and related items, and issue site instructions.
• Measure and record progress, assist in preparing as‑built drawings, and monitor inspectors and surveyors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Approximately ten years of experience in landscape supervision on large infrastructure projects.
• Minimum five years of experience in the UAE, preferably Abu Dhabi.
• Strong knowledge of current landscape and horticultural practices for Gulf‑region projects.
• Fluent written and spoken English with solid technical reporting skills.
