About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager ensures the team works together to deliver optimal service and meet guest needs. This role handles opening and closing duties, inventory, and maintains a safe, clean dining environment.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect staff grooming, attire and correct deficiencies.
- Perform opening and closing tasks, set up supplies, clean equipment and secure the restaurant.
- Monitor storage areas for organization, FIFO usage and cleanliness.
- Conduct scheduled inventories, order supplies and manage stock levels.
- Oversee dining room seating, service quality, safety and guest well‑being.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching employees.
- Enforce company safety policies, report incidents and complete required safety training.
- Maintain uniform standards, protect confidential information and company assets.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 2 years of related restaurant experience.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
