Assistant Shipping Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Shipping Manager to lead our international freight operations across the GCC and MENA region. The role focuses on driving cost efficiency, ensuring compliance, and delivering high‑level service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements using data‑driven decision making.
• Run cost simulations and evaluate logistics models to meet business requirements.
• Monitor and review vendor and team performance against KPIs.
• Manage import and export processes, ensuring compliance with GCC/MENA regulations.
• Collaborate extensively with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) to develop efficient logistics solutions.
• Guide, mentor, and set measurable KPIs for the freight team and service providers.
• Analyze performance data to drive efficiency and cost‑reduction projects.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Proven track record in freight management, cost optimisation, and vendor management.
• Experience leading high‑performing logistics teams and managing LSP relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data for decision making.

• Experience with Power BI
