Assistant Steward

About the role

The Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking an Assistant Steward to support its Stewarding team. This position plays a key part in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and equipment care across all back‑of‑house areas of the luxury hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Back of House Manager with scheduling, inter‑departmental coordination and performance monitoring.
• Supervise daily stewarding activities such as dishwashing, waste disposal and upkeep of hygiene standards.
• Ensure all equipment functions correctly and complies with safety regulations.
• Manage stock and inventory of operating supplies, including control of chemical usage.
• Support efficient service delivery throughout the hotel’s food and beverage outlets.
