Assistant Store Manager

About the role

EssilorLuxottica Chalhoub is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales in its Abu Dhabi location. You will act as a key leader on the floor, ensuring smooth operations, coaching the team, and stepping in as acting manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in executing the store action plan and meeting sales targets and KPIs.
• Model outstanding customer service and uphold the brand’s image, values, and philosophy.
• Motivate the team daily, provide on‑floor guidance, and ensure seamless operations across all zones.
• Support scheduling, shift planning, and floor coverage during peak periods.
• Build strong customer relationships using the store’s CRM to identify selling opportunities.
• Stay informed on product trends, competitor activity, and share insights with the Store Manager.
• Contribute to visual merchandising and stock replenishment according to brand guidelines.
• Assist in onboarding, training, and mentoring new and existing team members.
• Participate in performance check‑ins and help implement development plans.
• Ensure compliance with operational, safety, legal, and company procedures.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and solution‑oriented.
• Step in for the Store Manager during absences or delegated duties.

Required skills

• Minimum 3 years experience in optical retail.
• Demonstrated experience in team coordination or floor leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
